The Centre is staffed by a supervisor trained in Early Childhood Education (ECE), work/study students, volunteers, and parents. It provides parents and/or guardians of University Family Housing and their children, from birth to five years a place to meet and socialize. At the Drop-In Centre, children have an opportunity to engage in free play together in a safe environment. The program includes arts and crafts, books, cognitive toys, creative play area, and circle time as well as a second room for gross motor skills. Parents/caregivers are expected to stay for supervision and participate in the various activities during playtime. The program is FREE and restricted to children of student families living at Charles Street.
