Today we are wearing pink at our Drop-In Centre for #PinkShirtDay! This day is for people of all ages take a stand against bullying. It started as a collective act of kindness in 2007 when two Nova Scotia high school students saw a grade 9 boy being bullied for wearing pink. They then organized a “pink protest”, encouraging fellow students to wear pink in solidarity.
UFH is a safe and inclusive space for all our residents to call home. We stand against bullying and are proud to be able to show the power of kindness to our youngest residents at the Drop-In Centre! 👚💕

Although this hasn’t been our coldest winter, it can still get pretty chilly - especially if you aren’t used to cold temperatures! In order to ensure your apartment unit (and you!) stay toasty, make sure you follow these tips:
❄️ Cover air conditioners to stop drafts from entering the unit.
❄️ Keep all windows closed to stop heat from escaping.
❄️ Dress appropriately for the cold weather. Check out our layering clothes for winter weather tutorial on our Instagram page!
If you still feel your apartment unit is having heating difficulties, please contact the Residence Office!
