CHARLES STREET

Apartment Transfers

If your family is growing, apartment transfers to a larger apartment are possible if you have lived at 30 or 35 Charles for at least one year.


Child Care in the Neighbourhood

Both the Charles Street and Huron-Sussex communities have day care centres in the neighbourhood that residents can apply to join. We also have many children’s programs and resources for families to take advantage of. 

Tenant Organizations

Charles street Tenants’
Association

By living in Charles Street all adults are automatically members of the Tenants’ Association. Every year, the Tenant’s Association holds an Annual General Meeting, as per its bylaws.

This program was initiated in 1996 to help new faculty become acclimatized to the City of Toronto. The program is administered by the University’s Residential Housing Ancillary and operates on a cost recovery basis with no subsidies.

huron-sussex residents organization

The Huron-Sussex Organization (HRSO) works with other local residents’ organizations, the University of Toronto, and city and provincial governments on community planning and tenant support.
